Email from the Presidium: Self-Testing under Supervision Permitted Again
Dear students, dear staff,
In response to the current coronavirus situation, measures at universities have been altered as of Monday, 7 February 2022. Accordingly, it is once again possible for students to self-test under supervision as proof of compliance with the 3G rule for access to in-person teaching events and examinations at the university.
Self-testing under supervision will be offered Monday to Friday from 8 am to 10 am, and Saturday from 4 pm to 6 pm at the test centre located on the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar campus (access via Belvederer Allee 4). Individuals with negative test results will receive a certificate that is valid for 24 hours and serves as proof of compliance with the 3G rule at the university. This offer is also available to Bauhaus-Universität Weimar employees.
Proof of Compliance with the 3G Rule at the University:
- Proof that you are fully vaccinated
- Proof that you have recovered from the virus within the last 3 months (3 month period starts after a positive test result)
- Proof that you have tested negative either by means of a self-test done under supervision at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar test centre (valid for 24 hours), a rapid test done at a municipal test centre (valid for 24 hours), or a PCR test (valid for 48 hours)
To further prevent the spread of infection during in-person examinations, we recommend that you test yourself (either rapid test or self-test) before the examination, regardless of your vaccination or recovery status. If you are unable to participate in an examination at short notice due to a positive (rapid/self) test, please report this to your instructor or examination office. You will not be penalised for this. The same applies if you do not participate in an in-person examination as a precaution after contact with an infected individual.
I wish you the best for the end of the semester and the examination period.
On behalf of the Board of Governance,
warmest greetings,
Prof. Dr. Christian Koch
