Every year for four weeks in August, the Bauhaus Summer School offers a varied and intensive range of two- and four-week language and subject-specific courses. These courses are an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and people from all over the world and establish international networks.
The Language Centre offers language courses for students and staff of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The programme includes German, English, Spanish, Italian, French and Swedish. Courses in Russian, Portuguese, and Arabic are also offered regularly.

The International Office holds a photo competition every 2 years. A jury will select the winners and a selection of the submitted works will be exhibited in the university library. The next competition will take place in 2024.
