Digitisation in schools is advancing in leaps and bounds. Special digital learning and teaching aids are to be used in the further training of sports, music and art teachers as well as the associated subject lessons. As part of the nationwide competence network »lernen:digital« (learning:digital), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research is funding the sub-project »Digitisation-related and digitally-supported professionalisation of sports, music and art teachers« (DigiProSMK) with around 7 million euros. At Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Andrea Dreyer, Professorship of Art and its Didactics, is participating in the project with regard to art teaching.
Am Donnerstag, 17. August 2023, 18 Uhr, eröffnet die Ausstellung »Zwischenräume. Florian Schmidt mit Samira Gebhardt, Emily Johnston, Coretta Klaue & Fabian Reetz« in der Häselburg Gera. Zu sehen ist ein Querschnitt von Arbeiten des künstlerischen Mitarbeiters, die während seiner Zeit an der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar entstanden sind. Diese sind in Dialog mit Werken ausgewählten ehemaliger und aktueller Studierender gesetzt, die er in dieser Zeit betreut hat.
The exhibition shows works by students from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism and the Faculty of Art and Design that were developed during the summer semester of 2023 and that resonate with the content of the erase Love lecture and workshop series. From 15 August to 10 September, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, and the Kunstfest Weimar invite you to exhibitions, workshops and performances: The »Bauhaus-Weeks« begin on Tuesday, 15 August at 6 pm in front of the Bauhaus-Museum Weimar, exactly 100 years after the first major Bauhaus Exhibition. In 1923, this event presented the results of work by the State Bauhaus Weimar to the public for the first time and acted as a magnet for numerous artists, intellectuals and art lovers.
Starting on Tuesday, 15 August 2023, visitors will be able to experience special works of art from the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, with the award-winning works of the »born to be bauhaus« art prize being shown for the first time in a synopsis exhibition in the premises of the nova space in the Schiller Museum.
Fine Art graduate Felix Deiters was awarded the Lyonel Art Prize 2023 on Friday, 14 July 2023. A top-class jury had selected his thesis from a total of three nominated works for the Lyonel Verein zur Förderung von Kunst, Gestaltung und Kultur (Lyonel Association for the Promotion of Art, Design and Culture; Lyonel e.V.) Young Talent Award, which is endowed with 2,000 euros.
Under the title »Move On«, the graduates of the product design degree programme of the Faculty of Art and Design present their Bachelor's and Master's theses in an online exhibition. At summaery2023, the annual exhibition of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the works can also be viewed on site in Weimar from 13 to 16 July 2023.
