Als inhaltliches Material zu der sichtbaren analogen Audiotechnik und den resultierenden Nebengeräuschen werden natürliche Klänge von Grillen, Zikaden oder anderen Insekten wiedergegeben. Durch das Zusammenspiel der beiden Tonbandgeräte kann sich auch eine Überlagerung des Klangmaterials ergeben.

s e a r c h

is a 4 channel sound installation. the listener is the director of the sound. with an interface based in the middle of the room you can choose between 8 sound textures/pieces and arrange them. in case nobody is composing - playing - searching the computer will change from user play mode into random play mode. questions of this work are: soundarchitecture, soundfusion, eternity of sound.

every single piece takes about 90 seconds. It is more like a character or texture of sound, not a composition with a start and an end. it includes natural and synthetic sound material. all together there is about 12 minutes of soundmaterial and a lot of possibilities to arrange it.

Ort

Ein geeigneter Ort im Museum wäre ein halb überdachter Innenhof. Ebenso könnte man das ganze aber auch in einem der Innenräume aufstellen.


Fragen

Länge des Tonband? Womit kann man das Band verstärken, damit es seltener reißt? Wie laut soll es sein, wo steht das alles? Wo kann man gute Tonaufnahmen von Grillen/Zikaden machen (Zoo)?
