Looking at advertisements, runway shows and etc. it’s no secret that looking normal in our society usually means being skinny, having clear skin, being shaved almost everywhere and having a flawless body without any scars or other marks.

But that’s not normal. It’s normal to have a bigger stomach with visible fat on it. It’s normal to have prickly or hairy legs. It’s normal to have acne or scars.

Of course society is evolving concerning the topic of such things as body positivity. More things are seen as normal that should be seen as normal. Billboards show bigger people and people with scars or people with body hair but most of the times that’s just an exception in relation to other advertisements. The majority of bodies shown are still the perfect, clean and slim ones.

One of the ways to normalize bodies seen as flawed is to make them more visible. There’s no shame in having hairy legs or armpits. There’s no shame in having a little more fat on ones stomach than others. Of course that’s not a secret anymore but it’s still stuff that’s being talked about and in a world where it’s normalized to be “unperfect” talking about different looking bodies wouldn’t be necessary anymore.
That's why I decided to try to do something about it. I thought about it for a bit and decided that the lack of representation of normal bodies has to be worked on. When walking through the city of Weimar ones eyes draw attention to a lot of stickers so I started to print some of them myself with pictures of perfectly normal bodies to normalize seeing body features that are not seen as beautiful as others. So keep an eye open for gorgeous bodies plastered all over the city.

Every body is a beautiful body.
