A short description (11/2013)

By building a mobile I want to simulate the birds migration in a haptic and tangible way.
I experiment with differently coloured papers and different forms of objects made of paper.
I want to simulate the airflow, that birds use on their journey to economise their power:
If I use light that produces warmth, fans or the interaction of the people in not clear, yet.

Experiment 1

I just built some origami birds, just to know, how they looks like. The swan is the most aesthetic one.

Origami pets

I decided to make a hanging mobile. Birds in a swarm are a family. The hanging mobile remembers me to a family tree. And the power, may it be warmth or wind, is moving the mobile. But the connection to the parents oder grand parents is not influenced. Only the connection to cousins changes, because of the movement.

Experiment2

I made two simple hanging mobiles.

EXP 2 Versuchsaufbau Vektor.jpg

The warmth of the spotlight makes the mobile moving. So I will go to Experiment 2.2, for though the experiment works, the effect of the light mill is given. BUT: The film you see here is 250% faster than the original. AND: The spotlight exploded after one hour!

Experiment2.2

The power I will use is wind.

Experiment3

Shadows of origami swan. Light from the top.

Organisation

By building the origami birds I have to collect every thing in the right way.
