We rarely experience real silence. There is always some kind of "sound" happening. Defining "sound" / acoustic wave as an energy propagation though the medium air.
"Sound" is not only what(/ the frequencies) we hear, it is also a bodily experience of this pressure-wave.
(Eg. People who are deaf also enjoy music)

Collect and convert the data into something that can easily be experienced.

Performance Software for binaural panning of several audiosources in Max/Msp using data from an Arduino for control of the azimut and elevetation.
I went on a hill in Jena. Decades ago it was used for viticulture but since then it was recalimed by nature. I found the remains of human made structures such as walls made from stacked stone, steppes and paths wich are changed by the roots of trees and bushes groving there now.
Also there are burrows made by foxes and occacianal some bones probably from deers.

Since Jena is located in the vally, sound from the city gets reflected at the hills and travels between them. At certain spots it is possible to hear sounds from the city clearly while standing in a forrest.

I climbed on a tree an sat on a branch looking through the foliage. A breeze moved the leaves in a way diferent waves of movement appeared horizontally and vertically.
