New stundent job at GMU starting March 1st, 2015

As part of the Digital Bauhaus Lab to be opened this year, the GMU will open a Performance Platform, including a markerless tracking-system, a giant display wall and a high speed recording system. Unfortunately you can’t just buy all those things at your favorite discounter, so we have to go through elaborate processes called “Ausschreibungen” to get our hands on those toys.

As part of the process we will have to research and answer technical questions, create spreadsheets to compare offers by the various bidders and so on.
I am currently looking for a student worker to assist me with this kind of tasks. Your job will also include working with the Wiki, administrating computers in our coders corner and our new 3D Printer.

You should be technophile and be able to quickly develop a basic understanding of the technologies involved. The job will start on March 1st. It will require 16 hours per week, and you will work closely with me (Martin Schneider).
You should be a very reliant worker, speak and write German fluently, and be able to react quickly if needed.

I’m available for job interviews on Thursday 19th, and Thursday 26th afternoon from 14:00 — 16:00. Please come to Room 204, In Marienstrasse 5, and pick a slot for a quick job interview beforehand (There’s a leaflet on the door). Unfortunately I don’t have the time to answer questions regarding the procedure via email. For general questions regarding student jobs, please get in contact with Melanie Birnschein.
