-AI based problem solving methods to reorganize environments, makings of architecture, the interfaces between people, machines, and the real world.

-Direct observation by talking to people, taking pictures or using a camera as a research tool, collecting data and convert them into analytical assessments. (William H. Whyte The Social Life of Small Urban Spaces 1980)

-Exploration of intangible phenomena (electromagnetic terrain, wireless networks...) that have impact on how cities are experienced. (Immateriell Light painting, Timo Arnall - Constraint City „the pain of everyday life“, Gordan Savicic )

- Misusage of surveillance techniques (face recognition, tracking algorithms...) to record spatial relationship. Amplifying human presence using materialized surveillance to create environments of connection/ suspicion in urban space. (Raphael Lozano Hemmer)

-Creating direct connection between physical and virtual where the city becomes ‘information architecture’ telling stories of immaterial experiences. Projects that allows viewer to navigate into a simulated city like Marnix de Nijs’ Run Motherfucker Run. I think the best example of this would be ‘Legible City’ by Jeffrey Shaw.

-Building participatory installations for individuals to reflect ideas, feelings, shared anxieties, hopes, joys and struggles with neighbors and passersby. Also allows new ways to engage with the people around us. (Candy Chang)

-Pulling apart the structures of our everyday life, creating things that is beyond function, playing with the materials to discover unknowability of even the simplest aspects of our daily lives. (Alan Wexler)
