0.014 - 0.023 is the range in which Malina's voice still sounds human. Above or below this range her voice becomes so distorted that it sounds alien or humorous and therefore useless. Moving forward it is not possible to connect a 'random generator' because this object operates with much high numbers than the very small range I want to manipulate.

Randomly change the pitch or do you think changes in pitch could accurately be detected .. ?
Possible approach 2:
(1) poem plays
(2) rises and falls of the tone/inflection of individual words are detected
> by: manually pre-defining select words
> telling PD where these words are
(3) slightly re-pitched to change the emphasis on select words (*but it is important to keep Malina's voice itself intact)
(4) poem keeps playing

From these first patches it becomes clear that the single words that should be re-pitched need to be specified so that the effect is mimicking realistic speech. This needs to be linked to the changing breaks (and subsequent randomised position/timing of the words in the loaded sound file..)
