PART 1 /// NOTEBOOK THAT PLAYS

Assignment - Improbable switch - I created several variants of conductive
paper/notebook/postcard, which play by writing or drawing on them with
a graphite pencil. I used the conductivity of graphite and tried to work
with classical artistic technique of drawing, upgrading it by plugging
the components to an electrical circuit with a speaker (555 timer/monostable mode).

PART 2 /// EXPERIMENT

Assigment - Variable resistance - I went on with the idea of playing
paper/drawing/painting and I tried different techniques like graphite,
salty watercolor, potato stamp, different shapes of the graphite nets.

PART 3 /// THE PERSONAL QUIET

Assigment - My own project - I tuned the sound of my 555 monostable mode
circuit on my own tinnitus tone, that I can hear in my right ear. Than I created
series of soft graphite drawings, that can be connected to the electric circuit.
The sound of the drawings can be modified by touching it.

I worked with several different ideas in this project:
1/ piece of art generating a sound by itself, using its own physical properties
2/ inviting the spectator to touch the very personal piece of art, giving him or her
the possibility to change the condition of the artwork for a little while. Letting
the drawings live their own life, getting dirty, maybe destroyed by being
touched by many people.
3/ connecting two different and contrasting sides of artwork - personal and
almost spiritual aspect of lacking the real silence and very technical solution
of connecting the drawing to the electric circuit.

PART 4 /// ELECTRONIC REMAIN PAINTING

I saved the old cartridges from printers we found in a trash, I found out
that there is still a usable amount of inks inside the cartridges that can
be used as a watercolor paint. I broke the cartridges, washed out all the
ink carefully and made a pure CMYK paintings inspired by the worlds
biggest precious metals mines.
