<nowiki>Bei }} from stone to stone {{ handelt es sich um eine audiovisuelle Installation, die den Ölschiefer in den Bereich des fühlbaren zieht. Mittels verschiedener Methoden wurde der Ölschiefer auseinandergenommen und wieder zusammengefügt. Dabei finden die beiden Künstler*innen digitale und analoge Konstruktionsweisen. In der Ausstellung wurden diese thematisch aufgeteilt und auf den Laptop Bildschirmen, die mit dem Rücken zueinander standen abgespielt. Der entstandene Janus Kopf soll auch unseren zwiespältigen Umgang mit der uns im nordöstlich Estland befindenden Natur widerspiegeln. Zum Beispiel empfinden wir die nach der Ölschieferproduktion vorgefundene Natur als künstlich, während dort doch eigentlich Steine (Ölschiefer) herumliegen, die circa 180 Millionen Jahre alt sind. Zudem gibt es dort Hügel, von denen man genüsslich in die Ferne schauen kann, was sonst im flachen Nordosten nicht möglich ist. Die Hügel bestehen aus Überresten der Ölschieferproduktion und entzünden sich an manchen Stellen selbst. Ein See, der die Umgebung karibisch aussehen lässt, ist mit für Menschen giftigem alkalischem Wasser gefüllt. Unsere Praxis setzte sich auch mit den möglichen Rekonstruktionen auseinander, die unter dem etwaigen Naturbegriff möglich sind. </nowiki> | |||
