"I love my computer" is not a project dealing with the mental processes of a beloved household machine, rather it focuses on projecting emotional competency on an inanimate object. Some of the consequences of the artist influencing the machine are: hallucinations, delusions, body dysphoria, skewed judgment, impulsivity, bad motor coordination.

Down the Rabbit Hole #2

Installation (sound, objects, video projection)

Photo:Unknown artist / Pinterest

This work is based on a previous semester project witch explores how the lack of female representation in research and clinical trials has led to disproportionate adverse drug reactions in women. These effects are the result of healthcare systems historically designed around male bodies, often treating them as the default in diagnostics, treatment, and pharmaceutical development, showing that care systems are taking better care of male bodies then of any others. The unequal treatment gets visible through gaps, most common known as the gender data gap.

Needs

  • Isolated small dark room, preferably bathroom, showers or similar with tiles
  • flash lights from cellphones for seeing objects
  • video to be projected on a shower curtain
  • media player (media point?)
  • speakers (personal?) alternatively headphones
  • hanging objects on the ceilling

Multiple prints (3 prints)

This project celebrates water as a magical and vital presence that coexists with us—sustaining life while holding the power to destroy; It explores the essential yet often overlooked relationship that all living beings share with water, a dependency frequently taken for granted through waste, pollution and misuse. The work reflects on society's tendency to underestimate and neglect this profound connection, and brings its magic to the light.

Needs

  • Bright space, 5m wall
