Feel Water

This project celebrates water as a magical existence that cohabits with us—nurturing life and holding the power to destroy. The relationship which we usually underestimate and neglect.

The installation highlights the enchanting world of the invisible algae Chlamydomonas and its fascinating relationship with light. The drawings evoke the fluid emotions of water, while the photos/videos represent water as a quilt to embrace.

Background information

This project started from last semester, with the project “Luminescent Dance: The Algae Light Spectrum” (Life In An Aquatic Ecosystem: Mindaugas Gapševičius & Alessandro Volpato) and observing Algae’s behaviours in the Ilm Park pond
