https://ars.electronica.art/who-owns-the-truth/en/physarum-pavilion/
Initial Steps:
Project aims to give a space to organism and examine the behavior of conscious and continuous movement.
What if we provide a space where slime mold can sustain its life and contribute to architectural methods? This pavilion speculatively explores architectural solutions while considering slime mold as a resident. Relationship between architecture and slime mold challenges traditional notions of structural possibilities.
The aim of the pavilion is to act as a live experiment, incorporating the growth patterns and responses of the organism to environmental cues as essential elements of the structure. Additionally, it aims to function as a live experiment, seamlessly integrating the organism's growth patterns and responses to environmental cues as essential components of its structure.
Keywords: living organism, 3D Printing, scanning, enclosed environment
Next Steps:
- Documenting different behaviors of slime mold, by drawing and video recording
- Dealing with the creating "best" conditions in enclosed site specific environment to support phsarum polycepharum's grow.
- Building a loop - feedback
- Improving the connection between living organism-scanner-laptop-3D printer
