BIO.MATCH | =about me= | ||
I study media art and design in bachelor.
| |||
And hope to start my thesis very soon.
| |||
Most of my projects are based on the field of bio art and
| |||
are developed in the department of media environment.
| |||
| |||
| |||
for further information on my works have a look at my work diary
| |||
[http://www.mkffnbrg.com http://www.mkffnbrg.com].
| |||
It is constantly under construction and works more like a diary than a artiste page.

| |||
=class content= | |||
I had a very theoretical approach for this class for which I wrote a paper on what media to choose and
| |||
how to bring two samples from my bio.match project together (have a look below for the project description!)
| |||
I am asking you to understand, that you can`t find this paper at this place right now.
| |||
'''If you want to read the paper, just contact me and I will share it with you.'''

| |||
Furthermore, I had to take care for a new species, that I didn't know before this class.
| |||
==Hydra vulgaris and Artemia==
The hydra have four to twelve tentacles that protrude from just outside the mouth. They feed by extending their tentacles and waiting for food to touch the tentacles. They then bring the food to their mouth, ingest and digest the organism. Anything that cannot be digested is egested. Ingestion and egestion occur through the mouth.

| |||
Hydra vulgaris occurs on all continents except Antarctica in fresh water at temperatures between 7 and 29°C. In Europe, the distribution area includes the mainland and the British Isles.

| |||
They do feed on smaller animals like Artemia, water flea and also Daphnia.
| |||
This is why I soon had a second animal to take care of: Artemia

| |||
But here I had some problems, that I wasn't able to solve. The Artemia live in water with other conditions then the Hydra.
| |||
So I needed two flasks. The Artemia actually love movement in their environment, so I got them a water pump and they feed on algae.
For some reason I was not able to maintain a healthy live circle for them and very soon, they became my main project instead of the hydra.
| |||
That caused a lot of struggle with the Hydra who actually starved a lot. I completely failed with this project.
But if you want to have more information on Hydra check out this website [http://www.kakerlakenparade.de/hydra.html here]!
A little bit more contant will follow soon!
