In der Sitzung vom 7. April 2021 hat der Senat der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar den neuen Gleichstellungsplan für die Jahre 2021 - 2027 einstimmig beschlossen. Damit ist der Grundstein für die strategische Ausrichtung der Gleichstellungsarbeit für die kommenden sechs Jahre gelegt. Der Plan enthält statistische Daten sowie Ziele und Maßnahmen.
Anlässlich des Internationalen Frauentages am 8. März finden in dieser Woche die Weimarer FLINTA* Kampftage - für feministische Solidarität statt. Im Rahmen der Programmwoche nimmt auch das Gleichstellungsbüro der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar an einer Diskussionsrunde zu Gleichberechtigung an der Universität am Donnerstag, 11. März 2021, teil.

On 25 September 2020, the Studierendenwerk Thüringen inaugurated the new replacement building for the day-care center »campus.kinder«, Haus 1. The new three-storey timber-frame construction caters to members of both of Weimar’s universities and can accommodate up to 60 children. It is situated on the southern end of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar’s campus, in close proximity to »campus.kinder«, Haus 2, a complementary day-care facility that opened several years ago.

In July 2020, Patricia Grass (Master's Degree in Construction Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering) and Antonia Ney (Master's Degree in Product Design, Faculty of Art and Design) were elected as Student Representatives to the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar’s Equal Opportunities Advisory Board. They have been working as contact persons for students from all faculties on the topic of gender equality in research and teaching since October 2020. They act as spokespersons for students, bringing their suggestions and criticism to the Equal Opportunities Advisory Board. We are pleased to introduce both Patricia Grass and Antonia Ney here.
As an interdisciplinary branch of research, women's and gender studies have permeated the fields of art and science. In Architecture and Urban Planning, as well as in cultural studies, media studies and engineering sciences, the analytical category of »gender« is also becoming increasingly important and becoming intertwined with other social order systems. For example, gender issues play an important role in planning, using or appropriating spaces, buildings or media. The text below is meant to introduce four women’s and gender studies online databases to members of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar to help conduct in-depth research on these topics.
