The Bauhaus scholarship programmes will be suspended in the 2026/27 funding year. The extent to which equal opportunity scholarships can be offered for doctoral degree completion is currently being reviewed.
The application period for the remaining formats 2026/27 has started. Scholarships usually start in April.

PHD WELCOME DAY | 06.11.2025
On November 6, 2025, we welcomed many new doctoral candidates to our PhD Welcome Day at the Bauhaus Research School. During this event, attendees received a wealth of information about opportunities available for doctoral candidates. They gained insights into the university's structure and learned about key points of contact, including the Doctoral Council and the International PhD Network.
The event also provided opportunities for networking and exchanging ideas, both in person and online.
The International Office supported the Welcome Day through the DAAD-funded STIBET program.
Additional online events focused on starting a PhD were offered in December.

Information, Exchange, and Networking at the Postdoc Welcome Day
Postdoctoral researchers from all faculties gathered to learn about our services and share ideas for successfully navigating this new phase of their careers. Participants discussed the importance of maintaining an optimistic outlook, seeking advice, understanding unwritten rules, and staying connected with one another. For instance at the monthly postdoc lunch in the cafeteria.

The section presents news from the Pro.Doc Doctoral Council and provides insights into the doctoral experience at our university.
On November 6, 2025, the Doctoral Council invited both new and experienced doctoral candidates to a general assembly at Bauhaus.Atelier. This event provided an opportunity for networking, socialising, and exchanging ideas in a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by pizza.
The assembly began with a presentation on Pro.Doc, where participants received an overview of:
- The tasks and goals of Pro.Doc
- The various areas of work and topics covered
- The committee activities aimed at continuously representing doctoral candidates within the university
- Planned highlights, such as the Bauhaus Colloquium for Emerging Researchers
Another key part of the meeting was an open discussion with the doctoral candidates. Participants compiled and addressed current problems, challenges, and concerns facing the faculties.
