Information on 3G throughout the Faculty in teaching and in work spaces and studios
Dear students of the Faculty of Art and Design,
due to the current developments surrounding the spread of the Corona virus, new regulations have been in effect nationwide since Wednesday, 24 November 2021. This also has an impact on the university and thus our faculty. From now on, the 3G rules (vaccinated – recovered – tested) will apply in all areas: at the workplace for staff, in face-to-face lectures and in the student work spaces and studios. You can therefore only use your student work spaces and studios if you can show your vaccinated or convalescent status or a daily negative test from an official testing centre. The periods of use are defined as Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the entire university.
The faculty is obliged to monitor compliance with these rules. To check the 3G proof, student teams will carry out regular checks in the work spaces and studios – as they do in the courses.
The following will be checked:
- 3G proof (vaccination card or digital vaccination certificate in combination with your identity card, proof that you are recovered or daily negative Corona test from an official testing centre)
Use of the workrooms at weekends
As there are no inspections at weekends, the studios and work spaces must be temporarily closed on these days. This will be implemented - as far as possible - via the Thoska authorisations.
Use of the work spaces over the holidays
From Monday, 20 December 2021, the lecture-free period over the holidays will begin, which also includes the University's Christmas closure period. Unfortunately, the work spaces and studios will not be accessible during this time, as no controls can be carried out.
Currently, there are considerations to switch teaching completely to online teaching in the first week of January (information on this will be sent to you in good time via the university management by e-mail), and also to keep the studios and work spaces closed. The aim is to prevent the numerous contacts over Christmas and the turn of the year from leading to increased cases of infection at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
We ask for your compliance with all rules and your cooperation regarding the control measures.
Protect yourself and others, stay healthy and spend happy and peaceful holidays!
With kind regards
Your Faculty Management
