Kunst- und Musikhochschulen stehen in der Hochschulkommunikation besonderen Herausforderungen gegenüber. Diese resultieren aus ihrer Struktur, ihren Zielgruppen und ihrem Selbstverständnis. Sie verkörpern eine freie, kreative und nicht-kommerzielle Denkweise, müssen sich jedoch im Wettbewerb um Studierende, Fördermittel und Sichtbarkeit behaupten. Vom 12. bis 14. März 2025 treffen sich die Sprecher*innen der deutschen Kunst- und Musikhochschulen an der Fakultät Kunst und Gestaltung der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. In diesem Jahr steht die Krisen- und Haltungskommunikation im Mittelpunkt des Treffens.
For his script »Ha-Neu / Berlin«, which he developed together with Duc-Thi Bui, Media Art and Design graduate Duc Ngo Ngoc received the Golden Lola for the best unfilmed screenplay at the Berlinale. The prestigious award is endowed with 10,000 euros. We congratulate our alumnus and are delighted with this great success!
An ambitious project on a tight budget: Nine students are designing this year’s stand for the Leipzig Book Fair. From 27 to 30 March, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will be represented on 80 square metres. The exhibition concept is the brainchild of a specialist course in the Faculty of Art and Design.

The event starts on Tuesday, 4 February 2025, 2 p.m., and can be streamed via BigBlueButton or live on youtube. The installation will be shown on Friday, 14 February 2025, at »Hybrides Lernatelier« at Amalienstraße 13.
For the eighth time, students from the Faculty of Art and Design are inviting visitors to the Winterwerkschau. From 7 to 9 February, visitors will be given exclusive insights into over 50 current academic projects. The focus isn’t solely on the finished work – the creative process itself is also on display. Starting on Saturday, 8 February, from 10 am to 2 pm, prospective students can visit the exhibition and learn more about studying in the fields of art and design. Prior registration is not necessary.
From 4 to 11 February, Weimar's »Atrium« is attracting visitors with a special experience: students from the »Art and Social Terrain« class at the Faculty of Art and Design are designing two shops in the shopping centre. They are putting on an exhibition and offering daily »skill-share workshops« where participants can learn new things and socialise. The vernissage, a performative tour, begins on Tuesday, 4 February 2025, at 5 pm. The meeting point is the red carpet in front of the main entrance.
