Alumni Meet-ups 2025
This year saw some wonderful gatherings of our alumni community.
From 21–23 March 2025 we met up for a Career Development Weekend in Rostock. The Alumni Board organised this event, bringing together 30 alumni from Urbanism and European Urban Studies for an educational workshop and networking sessions. Inspired by the 2025 European Capital of Culture, Chemnitz, the weekend offered a valuable mix of career-focused input and informal, friendly exchange.

The annual Alumni Brunch took place during the summaery in Weimar on 12 July 2025. After an official meeting organised by the Alumni Board, we enjoyed a cosy brunch with a few students, reconnecting with old friends and making new contacts in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Upcoming Alumni Events
The Alumni Association is currently planning the next Alumni Events – upcoming in Sping 2026 is an excursion. The exact dates and destination will be announced soon.
There are for example also decentralized Urbanistik-Bar-Events, for Alumni, staying in different locations, like meetings in Kneipen in Berlin or in Café Weimar in Vienna.

Alumni Map
Time flies, and many of you are beginning exciting new chapters, settling into cities across Germany and around the world. We love seeing where life is taking you — and we’d like to stay connected while helping alumni find and support one another, wherever they may be.
To make that easier, there’s the collaborative online map where you can pin your current location. This way, others can see where you’re living and working and reach out if they’re nearby. It’s a simple way to keep the IfEU alumni network close-knit, even across great distances.

Still hot! Upload Your Thesis
Feel free to upload your thesis or any project you’ve worked on and share it with others!
There are three options:
- On EXPERIMENT.Bauhaus – Student Project Showcase, you can present your work with photos, a short description, and (if you like) a link to more details about your thesis or project. Just follow this link to the project platform and start sharing your work!: https://www.uni-weimar.de/en/university/profile/experimentbauhaus
- Check with your supervisor, if a publication via IfEU.OPEN (Open-Access) would be the right medium to publish Bauhaus-Universität Weimar: IfEU.OPEN
- In any case, upload your work as PDF at the University-Library! It is easy, for free, and make the world aware on your thesis! → You also have the option to upload and publish your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis through the University Library. There are a few requirements to keep in mind: your thesis must have received at least a “good” grade, and you’ll need to provide proof of that. You can find more details on the following website: https://www.uni-weimar.de/en/university/structure/central-university-facilities/university-library/research-and-publish/doctoral-thesis-office/
