Über den Freundeskreis
Der Freundeskreis wurde 1993 gegründet, um die Belange der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in den Bereichen des Studiums, der Lehre und der Forschung zu unterstützen. Wir engagieren uns, um Studierende und Lehrende der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar bei ihren wissenschaftlichen und künstlerischen Vorhaben zu unterstützen. Dabei setzen wir sowohl auf ideelle als auch finanzielle Engagements. Dem Erbe des Bauhauses verpflichtet, liegen uns fakultätsübergreifende und experimentierfreudige Projekte besonders am Herzen.
Für die Umsetzung von Projekten können wir auf langjährige Erfahrungen verweisen und an enge Kooperationen mit unterschiedlichen Partnern wie den Fakultäten, den Studierendeninitiativen sowie lokalen und überregionalen Kulturinstitutionen, anknüpfen. Andererseits vergeben wir jährlich ein Deutschlandstipendium, vergeben Unterstützung im Notfallfonds und beteiligen uns mit dem »Förderfonds summaery« an der universitären Jahresschau

Financial aid for students and doctoral candidates from crisis areas and war-affected countries
Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is an international university with a high proportion of international students and doctoral candidates. On the occasion of the war in Ukraine, the Freundeskreis e.V. have set up an emergency fund to support students and doctoral candidates of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar who come from war and crisis zones around the world and are in financial need due to the situation in their countries of origin.
Based on a simple online application, a joint committee of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Circle of Friends makes a decision within a short period of time. In this way, the donations raised directly reach the students and doctoral candidates in need.

Your donation will be primarily used for students, doctoral candidates and scientists in need from current crisis areas worldwide.
For donations of up to EUR 200, the bank statement, cash deposit slip, bank transfer slip or direct debit slip is sufficient proof to claim the donation on your taxes. For donations of EUR 200.01 or more, we will be happy to send you a donation receipt. Please send us an e-mail with your postal address and the subject line »Spendenbescheinigung«.
