Low Budget Room
Many students in Germany live in student halls. In cooperation with the Studierendenwerk Thüringen we offer single low budget rooms in shared student hall apartments. There you have your own room and share kitchen and bathroom with the other residents.
Living together is often a little less colloquial than in shared flats, but depending on the individual and on the dormitory, it can also be quite sociable!
Low budget rooms are very similar to a regular room in a student hall:
They offer a simple basic equipment. For a small fee, you can also wash and dry your laundry there. Blankets and bed linen are provided for you. You must bring your own towels.
Please note that there are usually no further cooking utensils in the kitchen. In your room you will only find a plate, a cup and cutlery. The rooms can be locked.
Internet is not included in low budget rooms, but can be booked on site in the course office for an extra charge of 15 Euro.
The location is the important & central difference to a regular room in a student hall:
The low budget accommodation is - by standards of small Weimar - a little outside the centre.
There is a bus stop directly in front of the building. By bus you can reach the city centre in 15 minutes and the university in about half an hour. With your participant ID you can use the city buses for free.
You can make your room reservation during registration.
