Lehrehde: Vivien Hoffmann
In this class you’re going to build a visual collection to derive from and explore your original viewpoint. By studying and analysing your surroundings you’re asked to capture the details and qualities of a space that will later influence your work as a (type)designer and artist.
The archive will be an ongoing strain of thought, focusing on shape studies and comprehensive features of everything apparent to you. It’s going to be your visual bible, a source of inspiration as versatile or precise as you decide.
What do you see and what do you ignore? What’s ugly what’s nice and why? What does it remind you of and what else can it offer?
Once the archive is filled we will translate our most treasured pieces into letters, sculptures or another medium that might be more suitable.
