Beschreibung
An inclusive course aimed at everyone interested in mind-body in relation to movement/performance, expression of mind-body in public spaces, and mindful artistic practices. Participants will create, collaborate, and improvise in a series of projects to explore their own mind-body in relation to others as well the spaces they experience. They learn the theories in practice, which include: 1. Mind-body: movement in the public architectural landscape. 2. Psychological theories of bodily experiences in public spaces: 3. Mindfulness practices in movement: reconnecting to the body by disconnecting 4. Performance Art practices: expressing movement in an unconventional manner 5. The poetry of the movement: re-experiencing movement in writing and reflection practices.

Bemerkung
Every other week the class will be held online to discuss the reading materials, theories, and reflections. Students will participate in discussion and critics for the ongoing projects that each will be working on throughout the week. Along with the online sessions, students will be participating in in-person projects which include practicing, exercising and creating the subjects that were studied during the online sessions. In other words, in a hybrid method, one week online and one week in-person. Additionally, the in-person sessions may be dedicated to working times in which students will have the dedicated time to work on their projects. The majority of in-person sessions will take place in public spaces which is one of the focuses of the course.
