This Online-Workshop focuses on planning tools for project management. All participants apply their experiences and knowledge in ”hands-on” exercises.
The following elements of project management will be discussed more in detail:
- Contract clarification
- Goal definition (expected results, process goals)
- Stakeholder analysis
- Phase model -> Works breakdown structure (WBS) -> Flow
- Chart
- Milestone plan
- Basics of risk management
Objectives:
This online workshop aims to strengthen your own attitude towards project management in order to be prepared for the challenges in everyday academic life as well as outside the university.
Knowledge and method competences in project management are fundamentally important in many sectors such as academia, industry and administration. Yet in many organizations, institutions and companies, there is a need for action in terms of the selection and implementation of suitable strategies. This interactive nature of the seminar serves to pool your knowledge and experiences of project management with those of other researchers. You will especially have a closer look at important steps at the beginning of a project. To make it more tangible, you will be able to apply planning tools exemplary. The aim is to both question and professionalizes your current way of planning projects.
Participants:
- The workshop is aimed towards all Doctoral Candidates and PostDocs of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
- The workshop will be taught in English.
- The workshop is limited to 12 participants.
