R&D: Advanced Prototype Research and Development Lab is an intensive hands-on workshop supporting the realization of interactive functional prototypes within the context of the Interface Design and MediaArchitecture Project Modules. Candidates will be tasked with transforming mature semester project proposals into real-world proofs-ofconcept using contemporary methods and processes for additive/subtractive manufacturing, printed electronics, physical/embedded/pervasive computing, as well as mixed reality and tangible interfaces.
Admission requirements - Concurrent enrollment in the Interface Design or MediaArchitecture Project Modules, or instructor permission - A mature semester project concept and production roadmap is a prerequisite to participate in this module - Some technical experience with the technologies and processes necessary for the realization of the prototype is required
Application and registration procedure Due to limited capacity, enrollment in this module will be conducted through a selective application process. The application period is open between 1 November 2019 and 30 November 2019.
