F# is a strongly typed, multi-paradigm programming language combining functional, imperative, and object-oriented paradigms. F# is included in Visual Studio and strongly supported by Microsoft. The idea behind integrating F# in Visual Studio was to encourage broader integration of functional programming in a daily life of professional software developers. Keeping in mind this goal, the project aims at studying and understanding of F# capabilities. Therefore, a software with a GUI will be developed in this project. The functionality and tasks for the software will be discussed and agreed with the project participants. The internal goal of the project is to get an understanding of benefits for combining different programming paradigms. Ideally, the project outcome should contain comparison of codes in F# written solely in different paradigms with the code written by combining programming paradigms. Methods and comparison strategies will be discussed and agreed with the project participants. |
