Human-Computer Interaction (Interfaces)
Introduction into core concepts, paradigms, methods, approaches, and principles of user centered design of user interfaces. The focus of this class lies on the user-centered design cycle of design, prototyping, and evaluation of interactive systems.
In particular, the following topics are covered: introduction into interface design, user-centered design and development process of interactive systems, user factors, machine and technical factors, design criteria, Design, Prototyping, Development and Evaluation of interactive systems in a broader context.
The course consists of lectures with corresponding practical sessions dealing with practical scenarios and with assignments.
Media design/art students and product designers will receive an extra task to obtain the full 6 ECTS. The course can be completed in English.
