Das Seminar führt ein in grundlegende Techniken bei der Benutzung der 3D-Software Cinema4D und gibt Einblick in:
- Benutzeroberfläche, Arbeitsumgebungen und deren Anpassung an eigene Bedürfnisse,
- Modellierungsstrategien (parametrisches und Polygonmodelling),
- Texturieren
- Szeneneinstellungen (Kamera, Himmel, Hintergründe)
- Beleuchtungsmöglichkeiten und Lichtquellenarten
- Rendervoreinstellungen und Renderqualitäten

Aim:
The aim of the seminar is to teach the basics of modelling with Cinema 4D and how to prepare scenes and render settings for quick and nice solutions. The direction will be the architectural modelling but additional to that, the students will learn how to make animations too. That is why, the target group is mainly any student of Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism; but Media and Art and Design students are also welcome.
Concept:
Cinema 4D is a modelling and processing program, commonly used by architects and animation artists; because not only polygon-based design, but also object-based modelling is possible with Cinema 4D. Another advantage of this program is its easy interface and good AI. During the courses, the students will learn the general interface of Cinema 4D, the understanding of textures, how to use them efficiently and what means “rendering” with the standard tools provided by Cinema 4D. Due to the nature of the program, the course will be in English. By the end of the semester, the students will prepare a small project about the Bauhaus100. |
