A showcase of the Weimar anniversary "100 years Bauhaus" in Berlin
It is on everyone's lips: the Bauhaus will be 100! - A variety of projects, exhibitions, symposia, seminars or workshops especially in Weimar, the cradle of the Bauhaus, will be realized in this context. Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and Galerie Eigenheim Berlin agreed to extend the external perception of these actions around the Weimar Jubilee with the help of a showcase for the Weimarer Anniversary in the Berlin branch of Galerie Eigenheim to generate broader networks and to create different catalysts. For this purpose, 4 exhibitions will be realized in 2019 at Eigenheim Berlin, which are aligned with the current issues of our society and are formulated so interdisciplinary that all faculties and departments can participate in the exhibitions. Beyond that, Eigenheim remains true to its ideals and wants to give the most diverse contemporary creative, artistic and scientific movements a platform to develop and present themselves. Whether symposium, book presentation, workshop or performance series - here it is possible to show actions that take place in Weimar without much effort in Berlin. But such a place of action and networking wants to be organized and coordinated. A work that comes very close to that of a cultural manager, cultural maker or curator. We realize a planning and organization office, a thinking workshop in which the exhibitions are planned and discussed. The lecturer Konstantin Bayer (curator) and Bianka Voigt (cultural manager) each form a team leader with different responsibilities. For example, the team led by Bianka Voigt develops communication strategies and opportunities for further funding and Konstantin Bayer deepened the content orientation and organizational approach to the exhibitions. We want to work in two groups on this big target, next to each other. In the joint planning sessions we then have the opportunity to compare the achievements of one team with the developments of the other team. We cordially invite you to participate in this module in the winter semester 2018/19 in the preparation of this project to get an insight into such a complex work. |
