Radio Mundo - Worldwide Underground
The cultures and traditions surrounding radio are different all over the world. In some countries there is a rich tradition of radio drama, other countries cherish the political aspects of independently operated radio stations.
Over the course of Radio Mundo we aim to learn about radio all over the world and tell each other stories about them. We want to bring those traditions together, create new networks with broadcasters all over the planet and try to showcase these wildly different approaches to radio, art and radio as an art form on Bauhaus.fm, our own radio station.
Whether you are an experienced broadcaster or an artist with a desire to utilize radiophonic means for your artistic practice, Radio Mundo is the place to meet likeminded students and experiment with the facilities provided at the Chair for Experimental Radio.
Newcomers to broadcasting and bauhaus.fm in particular should participate in the Werkmodul "Audiobaukasten I" to learn the basic workings of our broadcasting studio.
