Video is more... Mies would have used it.
Creating films solely about architecture will bring many benefits to the architectural profession and the public’s awareness + understanding of the value of the designed built environment.
This intense hands-on practical workshop will improve students’ ability to work effectively with digital video to aid in their design process and understanding of architectural space.
The workshop will be split into two parts:
Weimar in 60 seconds: investigates strategies to interpret and express existing architectural space through the medium of digital video. The key is the narration of a story, allowing various forms of media to be utilized by those whom are looking for and appropriate effective context to organize and narrate information about the built environment to an intended audience.
Preis: Students will each create 1 minute film starring a finished space in Weimar. Films will be screened to special guest jury of architects and film makers.
Design Better: explores the possibility of using digital video as a methodology in aiding the architect and client throughout the design process, and as a hybrid design tool able to align traditional forms of architectural documentation created for the construction of a particular design solution.
Preis: students will take into the office new techniques, new information, new issues and new possibilities that the professional may not have time to investigate. (Get the skills to pay the bills...Increase your market value)
