Publishing in Open Access is more and more established within the German academia, and is increasingly recommended by academic and funding organisations (e.g. DFG). Nonetheless, there is still an uncertainty (and sometimes a bias) against Open Science in comparison to traditional approaches of research and publishing.
The Online seminar is a compact introduction into Open Access, and deals with the following questions:
- What are the advantages of Open Access Publications?
- Which different models of Open Access exist, and how can I find the right one for my project?
- What should I consider in terms of copyrights (cc lincences)?
- How can Open Access publications be funded?
