Das Seminar untersucht prominente philosophische Positionen, die diese Perspektivität zu einem zentralen Thema ihrer Überlegungen machen. Außerdem lesen wir anthropologische und pragmatistische Theorien, die Perspektivenübernahme zu einem unverzichtbaren Bestandteil der menschlichen Kommunikation erklären. |

The philosophical problem of perspectivity
It is common to refer to individual standpoints as "perspectives", and to emphasize that all judgment and perception, and hence possibly all knowledge, is perspectival. We are reading philosophical discussions of the "perspectival" nature of thinking and communication, ranging from specifically philosophical reflections up to anthropological research which regard the capacity to take perspectives as essential for human beings. |
