Every human generation inherits something from the past. So does Generative AI, which is always based on the imageries of the past as training data. AI image generation is an important part of the rapidly advancing AI technological landscape, leading to many fascinating yet questionable developments. The influence of AI calls for informed and critical examination. We will tackle the social, political, and ecological implications of AI image generation. This course invites you to engage with AI image generation through practice-centered work.
Since we will carry out various practical exercises in the course, the number of participants is tied to the number of workstations. To enroll, please send me a few sentences about your motivation for participating in this course and attend the first session.
