Detailed competence is trained and acquired which enable gradual and systematic planning, implementation and control of measures to the re-establishment of the continuity of waters on the one hand and the use of recent attempts for the process simulations in aquatic ecosystems, on the other hand. Knowledge about the biology and the importance of the migration of fishing and waters is given for inhabiting invertebrates and detailed professionalism to the establishment is trained by fish migration facilities (different types of (pristine) realistic and technical installations, their hydraulic dimension as well as the control of efficiency). Professional competence is trained to examine natural or by human influence caused changes of ecological systems and to determine or to predict the suitability of subranges as a living space by looking at suitable habitat models of body of water systems. An essential learning purpose is the education in the still young scope of work - the use and exploitation of numerical aids. course contents: WW 46.1 "continuity of flowing waters" importance of continuity, migration of organisms, regeneration of continuity – migration facilities, requirements of functioning migration facilities; control of functioning WW 46.2 "habitat modelling" concepts of view on river systems and modelling of habitats, habitats and their description, interface physics – biology, simulation models and functionality, practical use of habitat models |
