Online seminar Open access: Research, Publication, and Funding - Einzelansicht

Publishing in Open Acces is more and more established within the German academia, and is increasingly recommended by academic and funding organisations (e.g. DFG). Nonetheless, there is still an uncertainty (and sometimes a bias) against Open Science in comparison to traditional approaches of research and publishing. 

The Online seminar is a compact introduction into Open Access, and deals with the following questions: 

• What are the advantages of Open Access Publications?
• Which different models of Open Access exist, and how can I find the right one for my project?
• What should I consider in terms of copyrights (cc lincences)?
• How can Open Access publications be funded?

Conditions of participations

This webinar is expected to take the form of an Adobe Connect web conference. Please note the technical requirements and take care that you have updated your settings in time. Please note, that there is no technical support before and during the conference by the Bauhaus Research School. 

We will send you a link to the webinar one day before the course starts. The link will open the adobe connect web conference on 9 a.m. on 2 July 2020. 

The webinar is primarily aimed towards doctoral candidates of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and is free of charge. Other members and affiliates of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar can also participate in the webinar depending on capacity.

Adobe connect conferences provide a chat as well as live video-conferencing to ask questions during the webinar. In order to prepare the webinar regarding your requirements, you are more than welcome to send us your questions before by sending an e-mail to the Bauhaus Reserach School (research-school@uni-weimar.de).
