He is a Fellow of the Design Research Society (DRS), a &#8220;Certified Talent&#8221; of the International Academy for Systems and Cybernetic Sciences as well as a recipient of the \u2018American Society for Cybernetics&#8217; Warren McCulloch Award. He researches design computing, design cybernetics, and digital media. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Kassel in Germany and a Ph.D. in Architecture and Design from RMIT University in Australia.
