LBP agar Medium

  • 1 liter water
  • 1 g lactose
  • 1 g peptone
  • 5.1 g Na2HPO4∗7 H2O
  • 4.2 g KH2PO4
  • 20 g agar

General introduction to work in the biolab. Preparation of the first test agar plates for bacterial growth in a Petri dish:

Petri dishes were filled with 15 ml of LBP medium (Baird-Parker liquid) with agar

  • Cooling the petri dishes
  • Inoculate with various surface contaminants
    • In my case:
  1. My saliva
  2. My fingerprint
  3. The chalk
  4. The women toilet
  • left with room temperature for the following days
