			Ein Storyboard ist zunächst die grafische Umsetzung eines Drehbuchs. Wie in einem Comic werden Konzepte und Handlungen in einer Reihe von Bildern mit Regieanweisungen visualisiert. Obwohl Storyboards aus der Trickfilmwelt stammen, werden sie heute jedoch auch für Kinofilme, Fernsehwerbung, Bühnenshows, Websites und andere Formate verwendet. Insofern sind Storyboards Verbildlichungen von Konzepten, Entwürfen, Skizzen oder Mind Maps ganz unterschiedlicher Art.
