Essays versuchen einen Gedanken im Moment seiner Entwicklung zu erfassen. Sie lassen das Publikum teilhaben am Denken des Autors. Dem Wissenschaftler dienen sie als Skizzenform. Im Essay kann er ohne die Grenzen der Systematik und befreit von Fußnoten, Zitaten und Randbemerkungen zum Gegenstand seines Interesses vorstoßen.<br />
Essayfilme brechen mit den Konventionen des filmischen Erzählens. Erprobte Prinzipien wie Kontinuität und Folgerichtigkeit werden aufgeben, um der subjektiven Betrachtung des Autors freien Lauf zu lassen.<br />
Die Kursteilnehmer produzieren einen Essayfilm. Neben der gemeinsamen Entwicklung der filmischen und wissenschaftlichen Aspekte werden den Teilnehmern Grundkenntnisse des filmischen Erzählens, der Kameraarbeit und der Montage vermittelt. Wie können Themen der Medienkultur mit den Mitteln des Films erzählt, veranschaulicht und reflektiert werden?<br />
Aufgrund der begrenzten Teilnehmerzahl bitten wir, uns eine Kurzdarstellung des Arbeitsvorhabens für den Kurs (max. 3000 Zeichen) bis zum 25.3.2010 an die Emailadresse redaktion@studio-bauhaus.tv zu senden.<br />
