Liz Flyntz is a Master of Fine Arts candidate in the Media Study [http://mediastudy.buffalo.edu/] department at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has produced many curatorial projects, including an inter-city artist exchange program, and is founder and co-editor of Erotic Economies [http://www.eroticeconomies.org/], a multi-media art journal. Currently, she is researching artist-produced alternative funding models and gift economies.

Liz Flyntz is a Master of Fine Arts candidate in the Media Study department at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has produced many curatorial projects, including an inter-city artist exchange program, and is founder and co-editor of Erotic Economies, a multi-media art journal. Lizflyntz:

Recording is the technical operation to linearize the elasticity of time. Once banned on a medium the past can be accessed, processed and played back. The medium, especially the digital one, allows for instant categorization, storage, and retrieval. When analog video became available to artists in the 70ies they proptly discovered that the recorded footage can be much more than documentation; it is a new medium itself. With digital video and it becomes a source for real-time artworks.

This compilation lists a few artworks which could fit to the subject, it is not a selection for the actual show but a mere illustration of what it could look like.
