==English description==
We are inviting students, guests and lecturers to present their works. There will be a brief discussion afterwards.

== Anmeldung ==

== Hinweise für Vortragende ==

== Notes for Speakers ==

If you feel you have something interesting to share, please contact us. We are always looking for interesting things to share and talk about.

Typically, we have two presentations per meeting. There is a projector with VGA Connector. If you need Sound or a Computer, please contact [[User:Mm|Michael]]. If you bring your presentation on a USB-Stick, please use either Mac-Keynote or PDF, because we may or may not find a Windows-PC with Powerpoint.

To connect to the internet, you can use the "eduroam" WiFi network. If you have no University login, please get in touch, so we can arrange a guest account.
The language of your talk (German/English) is up to you to decide. Usually, there are about 5 to 10% Students that understand English better than German.

The presentation should have a duration of about ~ 20 minutes. Please understand that we need to stop the talk after 30 minutes latest, because there should be time for feedback, questions and short discussions.

====Organic City / Reef City====

After some thought I have decided that the aspect I’m most interested and fascinated by at the moment
is the translation of urban, geometric static forms into organic shapes.

What would a building look like, if it weren’t a human-build structure with strict constraints but a free flowing shape,
changing its form to adjust to its needs? What would maybe even a whole city look like?

To deal with these questions I have begun to research coral reefs. I consider them to be metropolises of the sea
as they provide a variety of organisms with food and shelter. Even though they cover less than 0.1 % of ocean surface,
they harbor 25 % of all marine species.

For this project I would like to try and “translate” a city (or part of a city) like Weimar into a reef-like structure and see,
what changes emerge through the organic shape-building. Maybe some of these realizations can even be of use
in the process of future urban development connected to global warming.

==ProSkin==

“Protective Skin2” is about the history of a distant, dystopian future.

Through the chronological retelling of how that future came to be, the listener is shown why and in which way society changed.
The work evolved out of the thought of what would happen, if people couldn’t touch and therefore feel each other anymore.
How would this situation change people? What would be its consequence for society as a whole?

This work creates a scenario that manufactures and explores the idea of placing such constraints on people.
To make the dystopian world more tangible to the audience, it experiences a kind of old school history lesson
in which a disembodied narrator takes them through the last 100 years but doesn’t mention the current situation or date
as that is for the audience to the decide for themselves.

My second audio test:

====Organic City / Reef City====

==ProSkin==

Now I'm trying to concentrate on ONE aspect of that city, which is the No-Touching-Policy.
I created a szenario out of that....
Master Project (english)

The urban development kit
In the course of the project, several methods will be created and formulated to design cities a new and in a better manner. The proposals should be designed in the form of sets - either as games, products, model kits or instructions - that will be made accessible to an interested audience.
The scope of activities is here rather wide: tools and apparatus to raise awareness can be developed, strategies for meeting/happenings or performances could be organized, exhibitions and installations in public spaces could take place. Speculative, ephemeral and revolutionary designs and projects should deploy themselves in concrete, innovative and unseen (city-) situations.
1. Coursework 10% - assignment in written form: research to a chosen topic/to the developed project in the fields of art history, urbanistics, media theory or another discipline, whereas a work/topic should be chosen individually as a reference that stands exemplary to an activity.
2. Coursework 10 % - assignment in spoken form: oral presentation on a topic chosen individually that stays in relationship to the developed practical proposal

3. Active participation in the project colloquium
4. Course work 60 % - presentation of a work

====Organic City / Reef City====

So I changed my szenario a bit from the coral city to the really disturbing future city.

Now I'm trying to concentrate on ONE aspect of that city, which is the No-Touching-Policy.

I created a szenario out of that....

4. Course work 60 % - presentation of a work
Sensor-Workshop (26.11.13)

At the beginning we were one big group, but divided ourselves into three subgroups: One was asking strangers for questions, another asked them for pictures of whatever was in their mind at the moment and the third asked a lot of questions. In the end we asked them to write the questions down.

===Asking For Questions===
Transcript of the audio recordings (Laura and Sebastian):

1.	What is it about the international atmosphere in weimar?
2.	Do you like tourists or rather not?
3.	why aren’t they able to build a ring road around Weimar?
4.	What is there to see in Weimar?
5.	Is every teacher nice?
6.	Do you know enough about Goethe and Schiller? | I’m uncreative, I don’t know.
7.	I have to go the doctor.
8.	I don’t know anything. No.
9.	I’m the one they come to to ask questions. I don’t. How do we like Weimar? Are we students here?
10.	Yes I have many questions. But I don’t want to ask. Why is it so cold here?
11.	Not at the moment. Maybe on the way back.
12.	I like the park in Weimar and I would like it if people would preserve/sustain it.
13.	Is it for the people that live here? How do you like it here? | I am from here and I don’t have any questions. I don’t know what I would like other people to ask me and what not.
14.	I’m from Weimar, I don’t have questions. I don’t want people to ask me personal stuff. Nobody ever ask me for directions.
15.	We live here, we don’t have questions but we’re interested in everything. We don’t want to ask others anything. We’re proud of Weimar and without Goethe and Schiller Weimar would be nothing.
16.	I only speak French.
17.	A question?????? Firstly, I’m from Weimar. I don’t really have a question. I don’t go into the city much because of all the summer-tourists. It’s too much for me. What do they like about Weimar so much? I’m from Weimar and I don’t like it very much. But now I don’t go away/drive away anymore because my husband died 2 years ago, suddenly. Now, I hide away at home sometimes like mouse. But my kids come over every day. And I don’t like Christmas, I’m happy when it’s over. Do you like it here? Are you students? We’re we from?
18.	A question??? We’re good! But otherwise I have no questions. But I hope you’re fine too and have nice day.
19.	No.
20.	No.

==Organic City / Reef City==

Maybe some of these realizations can even be of use
in the process of future urban development connected to global warming.
as they provide a variety of organisms with food and shelter.

==Organic City / Reef City==
