==Abstract==

Our contemporary political landscape as well as public debate is increasingly dominated by extreme positions. Opinions and assumptions are echoed through (social) media, loose their connection to reality and transform into collective imaginations of more or less homogeneous peer groups. All those groups have their own values, a canon of guiding principles, their specific ingroup language and a common externalized enemy.

Over the course of the semester, every participant will develop a fictional future scenario based on current real-world ideologies. We will then discuss the implications of those utopian or dystopian visions for our current situation and use these insights for the development of critical artworks. The concept of this course is experimental and will be further developed together with the participants.

Looking at advertisements, runway shows and etc. it’s no secret that looking normal in our society usually means being skinny, having clear skin, being shaved almost everywhere and having a flawless body without any scars or other marks.

But that’s not normal.It’s normal to have a bigger stomach with visible fat on it. It’s normal to have prickly or hairy legs. It’s normal to have acne or scars.

Of course society is evolving concerning the topic of such things as body positivity. More things are seen as normal that should be seen as normal. Billboards show bigger people and people with scars or people with body hair but most of the times that’s just an exception in relation to other advertisements. The majority of bodies shown are still the perfect, clean and slim ones.

One of the ways to normalize bodies seen as flawed is to make them more visible. There’s no shame in having hairy legs or armpits. There’s no shame in having a little more fat on ones stomach than others. Of course that’s not a secret anymore but it’s still stuff that’s being talked about and in a world where it’s normalized to be “unperfect” talking about different looking bodies wouldn’t be necessary anymore.
That's why I decided to try to do something about it. I thought about it for a bit and decided that the lack of representation of normal bodies has to be worked on. When walking through the city of Weimar ones eyes draw attention to a lot of stickers so I started to print some of them myself with pictures of perfectly normal bodies to normalize seeing body features that are not seen as beautiful as others. So keep an eye open for gorgeous bodies plastered all over the city.

Every body is a beautiful body.

1. Welcome to our new world
Say goodbye to the world you know. It is time for something
groundbreaking.

We do NOT tolerate any corrupt politician, institution or company
anymore trying to take away our earth’s natural resources, not thinking
about sustainability or how the next generation is supposed to live
when climate change is knocking on our door.
Heat waves, wars, rising sea level, human trafficking, starving animals,
pollution, plastic islands… The list of our wrongdoings as human beings
can be continued endlessly.
However, we, as a global society, can change that.
We want you to take a look at a possible future scenario, where the
world is at peace. Political decisions are purely based on scientific facts
and neither greed, wrath, pride or envy have a place in our world.
It is a world where our daily life is optimized for the well being of every
person living on this planet and not for the economy of a sole country.
Therefore, companies who could potentially be a hazard for this
balance will be eradicated.
As said before, we do not tolerate this anymore.
Instead of politicians, who do not have the competences to guide our
world to a better future, scientists will take their place.
Rationality, data, decision.
The three principles of a new era of humankind.
There will be no more empty promises, no more political opportunism,
no more modern nepotism.
You may ask how this is supposed to be possible?
Because we all have enough of this rotten system forcing us all to ignore
our health, our dreams and our aspirations only to push the GDP even
more.
We deserve more than that.

The Era of CHAOS

Centuries long, humans’ minds have been confused and polluted by overwhelming fragmented inputs, breaking languages into pieces, destroying thoughts into rubles. Minds are jammed by the debris of information. Souls feel dying like drowning in a sealed pot containing only endless hyper-fragments. In this fraction desert a trace of fresh are nearly impossible to be found.
Where are these broken pieces from our mind palaces? How it happens? How to stop?
More and more questions with no answers are carried across generations. Slowly the few blurry clues dissolve and even the questions themselves fade away.
In the end, CHAOS is the only thing left.
We are lost, very lost.
'''
A scenario of a „Bright“ future:'''

Groups of surviving human beings try to have a new order of the world build, after having enough suffers from living in a fully fragmented and decontextualized information environment. The new way toward a structured life is wrapping their fears and mess into a new faith, a religion and a holy god - God of Chaos. So their few remaining feeling of safety can be kept and souls can be empowered by fears and chaos.
==Abstract==

==Abstract==
