In this fast-paced exhibition, students of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar transforme the campus and the town into a vibrant presentation venue.

Architecture, Civil Engineering, Art and Design, and Media – all four faculties opened their doors for four days to present the best student projects of the year in exhibitions, installations, models, performances and film presentations. The event offered students and the public a fascinating look at the vast range of subjects taught at the university.

Bauhaus Summer School

Bauhaus Summer School is an annual programme of specialist and language courses offered every August. Includes an integrated accompanying programme for university-bound pupils, students, graduates and alumni of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar

Schnupperstudium (Study Try Week)

What is it like to study at university? What subjects do they teach? How much will it cost? Where can I live? What are the study conditions like?

Schnupperstudium (Study Try Week), from 23 October to 27 October 2017.

During the Schnupperstudium courses, you get to experience university life first-hand and finally ask any questions you have about studying at university. The trial course programme allows you to participate in suitable courses in your prospective degree programme, visit the laboratories and workshops, become acquainted with the study conditions and the campus, receive intensive academic advising, and enjoy cultural and recreational activities.

During our Hochschulinformationstag, academic advisors, students, Studentenwerk representatives and instructors are available at information stands to answer any and all your questions concerning the organisation and degree programes at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Throughout the day, we offer you the chance to discover the university and its campus, take tours of the workshops, lecture halls and laboratories, and become familiar with student life.

backup_festival

The back_up festival was brought to life by students of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, in the year 1999 when Weimar was UNESCO Culture Capital. The main focus was to create an continuous inventory of current media, and to built a bridge between useing digital techniques and traditional film mediums.

Today the main intention of the festival is, to show short films from students and graduates of art, media, and design from over the world, to investigate and present, and to elaborate on current advantages and to work in competition with traditional film schools. Students as well as professors from the Bauhaus-Universität provide assistance and have the aim of creating a platform of young and engaged media designers, to offer creatives and filmmakers.

The program offers international short film and video competition, a national competition for music videos and an extensive program of workshops, scientific panels, forums, cultural exchange, and clubs.

The festival is organized annually in cooperation with the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Bauhaus Film Institute.

Lecture for Student Groups about Studying

General Academic Advising offers lectures (in English) for student groups about studying at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. We give information about our academic programmes, applying and registration and try to help students, based on their personal requirements, to get successfuly through the process of orientation for a study.

In addition to the lecture we will answer your special questions and offer tours and/or workshops with one of our Bauhaus.Botschafter to give you an impression of the campus and studying at our university.
