German universities often have different admission requirements for applicants from foreign countries. Before applying, please read over the information that applies to your situation in the databank at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) or the databank at the Foreign Education Centre (anabin).
If you wish to take advantage of the online application process and have questions about the admission requirements, we can arrange a personal interview for you.
Applications for a higher semester are also possible.
If you do not have access to the Internet, or cannot take advantage of the online application process for any reason, please contact us.
- Some applicants from certain countries are required to attend a university preparatory programme at a “Studiumkolleg” before being allowed to study in germany. The Studienkolleg Nordhausen provides such university preparation for applicants of the Bauhaus-Universität.
- Foreigners who have qualification for admission to institutions of higher education or have already received a university degree in germany will be treated like Germans (education nationals) by the selection committee.
- The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar has simplified its admission requirements for foreign students participating in the study abroad programme. (incoming)
