A new version of the Thuringian Corona Ordinance applies from 24 August 2021 and is in effect until 21 September 2021.
The new ordinance includes the 3G rule (tested, vaccinated, recovered) for events and examinations in presence at universities. According to §22 in conjunction with §11, only vaccinated, recovered and tested persons may participate in these events. Currently, the crisis team is dealing with the implementation of this requirement at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. In particular the possibilities for checking the 3G rule are discussed. Presumably, a check can only be carried out on a random basis.

Additionally the new ordinance establishes a new early warning system in Thuringia. In the case of locally increasing case numbers, in addition to the leading indicator seven-day incidence, the local hospitalisation incidence and the Thuringia-wide utilisation of intensive care units will also decide when additional containment measures must be taken.
