You can read the »General regulations for managing the effects of the corona virus pandemic on studying and academic affairs«here.
Dear students,
We hope that you have been successful in meeting the challenges posed by the digital semester so far. We know that dealing with the effects of the pandemic has required cooperation from all sides and we thank you for this! The commitment that has been shown so far--including the intensive preparations for the safe execution of exams and the first digital summaery--have inspired confidence.
In our 22 May e-mail, the University Board of Governance promised to find solutions for issues caused by the coronavirus pandemic, for instance regarding deadlines and exams procedures. Our goal was to provide you with a positive outlook as quickly and seamlessly as possible for a successful semester, despite the unforeseeable restrictions and uncertainties caused by the pandemic.
We are excited to inform you today that these commitments now have a solid legal foundation: The Senate has adopted the »Rahmensatzung zur Regelung von Auswirkungen der Corona-Pandemie auf Studium und Lehre« (basic regulations for managing the effects of the corona virus pandemic on studying and academic affairs), approved on 3 July.
Among others, the following issues are addressed in these regulations:
Please note: Be sure to follow the exam registration and deregistration procedures relevant to your study programme. These procedures remain unchanged!
The state of Thuringia has suspended long-term study fees for the 2020 summer semester under the »Mantelgesetz zu den Coronafolgen«.
Questions may be directed to your faculty's examination office. Your Studierendenbüros (Student Office) is also available to assist you at studium@uni-weimar.de.
Please read the following regulations carefully. The document can be found under the announcements of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (MdU), announcement 39/2020, along with other important information on the university’s coronavirus page.
With best wishes for a good end-of-semester,
Prof. Dr. Christian Koch
Vice President of Student and Academic Affairs for the Board of Governance
