Central Working Groups for Managing the Coronavirus Pandemic at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar
+++ The Crisis Team of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar as well as the Corona Coordination Group are currently dissolved. Should it become necessary due to the infection situation, the central working groups will resume their work. +++
The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar has established a number of central working groups in order to react quickly to developments in the coronavirus pandemic and to establish appropriate measures for the protection of all university members. Working groups include: the Crisis Team, the (extended) Task Force, and the »Koordinationsgruppe Corona« (corona coordination group). These groups are made up of different members and work closely with one another.
Bauhaus-Universität Weimar Crisis Team
The Crisis Team (»Krisenstab«) is responsible for preparing the decisions that the President and the Chancellor make within the scope of their power to deal with the pandemic. The Crisis Team also advises the Presidium – either based on their own initiative or on directions mandated by the authorities – on measures to be taken before, during, and after a pandemic. The Presidium is responsible for making the final decisions on these measures. The recommended tasks in the pandemic plan include analysing the situation, maintaining communication, keeping in contact with the relevant authoritites, providing protective equipment, and ordering and lifting closures, remote work orders, and leaves of absence.

The leader of the Crisis Team is responsible for forming the Crisis Team unless it has been previously deemed necessary due to an official pandemic declaration.
Extended Crisis Team
If necessary, the Extended Crisis Team will support the Presidium in establishing appropriate measures to ensure the continuation of university operations, particularly in regards to teaching.

Koordinationsgruppe Corona (corona coordination group)
The Koordinationsgruppe (corona coordination group) decides on and enforces operational tasks to ensure the continuation of teaching, research, and administration based on the general hygiene plan and infection prevention plans. This includes, but is not limited to:
- specifications for marking distances, entrances and exits, and seating in buildings/rooms to ensure that minimum distancing regulations are adhered to;
- specifications on how to procure necessary hygiene materials;
- the creation of seating plans for centrally managed rooms;
- the creation of regulations for in-person exams
